Job summary
The Main Outpatient Department at Oldham Hospital holds clinics for many different specialities within several different locations and we are currently looking to recruit a registered nurse to the existing team.
The department provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across a variety of specialities as you are expected to work across all areas with support from unregistered members of staff.
As a full time, Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure compassionate and personalised patient care. Main duties of the job
- Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures
- Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care through assessment
- Advise patients/clients of the promotion of health and prevention of illness
- Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
- Undertake delegated responsibilities from the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse or their deputy.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of current issues that may have an impact on how clinics function
- Performing clinical skills such as wound care to support busy vascular, Orthopaedic, and plastic surgery clinics
