We have a variety of exciting opportunities both full and part time for Registered Nurses within the Acute Respiratory Unit at Fairfield General Hospital.

The Acute Respiratory Unit is a fast paced unit caring for 40 patients under Respiratory, General Medical and ENT Teams.

Previous experience would be an advantage; however, we would also like to hear from recently qualified nurses who will be supported through their preceptorship, ensuring they excel in their chosen pathway. Extensive training in respiratory care will be provided by our Practice Based Educators including Non Invasive Ventilation and Tracheostomy Care.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside other members of the team you will be responsible for providing direct high quality care to a group of patients. This will include care planning and delivery, delegation of appropriate tasks to Healthcare support workers, clinical observations, medications management and a vast array of nursing tasks.

Shift patterns are Long Days, split shifts of earlies/lates. This role will require Night shift working, weekends and Bank Holiday working.
