Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Integrated Stroke and Neuro-Rehab team as a Band 3 Senior Therapy Assistant / Therapy Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team of many professions, including a well established support workforce.
The work is varied and you will manage and prioritise your own caseload under the guidance of the registered practitioners to provide high quality support for the therapists and assist with the rehabilitation of patients working directly with the different professions. This will require a high level of communication skills, flexibility and a problem solving nature.
Location of intervention can be at the patients home, clinic or other community setting and thus ability to travel to different geographic locations either through use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs is required.
The role will be working with others or independently. You will also support our Team Administrators, as required, in processing referrals.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for a designated caseload, undertaking therapy programmes as identified within their role.
- With support, have excellent time management and communication skills to prioritise and balance clinical, patient related and service demands.
- Contribute to multi disciplinary team meetings
- Adopt an MDT approach in the management of the patient
- Actively manage support workforce waiting list.
- Contribute to student education and newly registered staff.
- Basic IT skills to manage own admin requirements and support Team Administrators as required.
- Develop links with Salford voluntary organisations to complement our intervention
