Job summary

Are you an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge, to further your career and gain valuable management experience?

We're advertising an exciting opportunity for a fixed term B7 Children's OT and Physio Team Lead, to cover maternity leave. This role will give you the chance to support service development and develop a range of people and service management skills, supported by senior management. We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to make the difference, for both staff, and the children and families we serve.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clear professional leadership, governance and operational management to the team.
  • Demonstrate compassionate leadership and empathy to support the teams and the families of the children we work with.
  • Utilise well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Apply creativity and problem-solving to manage a range of issues.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide management supervision to senior members of the teams.
  • Maintain high standards within the teams to enable the provision of safe and effective care.
  • Demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills with colleagues.

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy (Diploma or Degree).
  • Health and Care Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
  • Member of The Royal College of Occupational Therapists/Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate training.

Skills

  • Significant post-registration experience in a community setting
  • Experience of working collaboratively with other disciplines/agencies and across organisational boundaries
  • Extensive knowledge of safeguarding
  • Excellent leadership skills
