Job summary
We are looking to recruit, for our Salford Dermatology Service, an enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist with relevant knowledge & experience to care and support patients with a skin cancer diagnosis and their families throughout the cancer journey. Holistic needs assessments and personalised care, support planning is a large part of this role. The post will allow you to learn and develop within the field of Dermatology skin cancer. On Occasion you may be required to support the off site facilities Appropriate clinical & leadership experience to provide expert nursing care is required. The successful candidate will work alongside members of the MDT, Medical Consultants, Specialist Nurses, et al
You will have current NMC registration & be able to deliver a high standard of individual patient care. Previous Dermatology nursing experience is highly desirable, though not essential. Ideally, you will be a registered non-medical prescriber or willing to undertake the V300 Non-Medical Prescribing qualification. You should be passionate about delivering & developing a high-quality service to patients within the service and be driven by the desire to improve services. You will be given the full support of the senior nursing, medical and service teams & will be given the opportunity to continue your career development within the post.

Main duties of the job
-To provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families and carers from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment and follow-up phases of treatment and care.
-To provide Holistic needs assessments and personalised care and support planning as this is a large part of the role.
-Support senior staff members in the management of the Salford Dermatology Service, being accountable for your actions.
-Assess and address people's health and wellbeing needs when those needs are complex and change across the caseload.
-Be involved in audits, and develop and improve the Skin Cancer service.
-Develop own and others knowledge and practice addressing individuals health and well-being needs, across professional and organisational boundaries.
-Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others in own work area.
-Promote people's equality, diversity and rights at all times.
