Job summary
The Dermatology centre at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Salford Care Organisation part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group is one of the largest in the UK providing clinical services to Salford, Radcliffe, Bury, Stockport (Kingsgate) and Altrincham, the service attracts national referrals for its wider range of tertiary services.
The service is constantly developing and we want to expand the GPwER provision. As a result we are looking for GPs who have an interest in, and previous experience, in Dermatology.
You will need to be a GMC registered general practitioner, be available for one or two clinical sessions per week, have strong communication and IT skills, and wish to help shape and deliver high quality community, secondary and tertiary care-based services for patients with skin disease.
The delivery of Dermatology services across Greater Manchester operates within an extended 'Hub and Spoke' where there is a greater integration/partnership working between providers of primary, secondary, and tertiary care, all appointments conform to this framework.
You will work alongside consultant dermatologists, AHPs and trainees in general and specialist clinics in both hospital and community settings.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide general Dermatology clinic(s) there will be an opportunity to develop and learn a range of skills in Dermatology in a large and busy hospital. Each GPwER will have a designated Dermatology Consultant mentor.

The Dermatology Department at Salford Care Organisation provides service provision at the following locations Salford Royal, Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre; Fairfield General Hospital Bury; ICAT service at Radcliffe, Bury; Stockport.
