Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Directorate Manager for Ophthalmology. You will work with the Directorate Clinical Director and Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the development and delivery of the Directorate performance within the Planned Care Division to deliver a high quality, patient focused service. This will be achieved through close working with the Divisional Management Team and triumvirate to ensure optimum and high level ongoing performance in line with corporate objectives and evidence based best practice
Main duties of the job
As part of the Directorate team working with the Clinical Directors, Lead Nurses and others, you are responsible for leading the development of services within the Directorate to deliver a high quality patient focussed service.
To work closely with the Divisional Management Team and Directorate Management Teams to ensure optimum and high level ongoing performance in line with corporate objectives and evidence based best practice.
As delegated by the Divisional Management Team, lead and deliver relevant projects of service development and improvement working across all Directorates within the Division.
Responsible for performance management, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to support the effective monitoring of activity and finances.
Responsibility for the efficient and effective use of resources including development of robust recovery planning where deviation occurs.
