Job summary

****Please note that this vacancy is for Advancing Quality Alliance (Aqua) and will be based at Crossgate House in Sale and not for Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust***

Due to maternity leave cover within Aqua we are looking for an Improvement Advisor with experience in quality improvement, personalised care and safety improvement programmes. The post holder will support the delivery of a core suite of programmes using their experience, insight and understanding to help others learn and deliver improvements via a range of Aqua programmes.

You will join an enthusiastic, highly skilled and successful team and will be supported to further develop your experience and skills across quality, safety and personalised care. You will contribute to team development and positively influence improvement opportunities across all stakeholders and partnerships.

Aqua blends operational delivery in both virtual and increasingly back within face to face settings. This post supports a balance of working from home and spending agreed time together in the office. All Aqua posts require extensive travel nationally which often includes overnight stays, working on site and at events with our clients and partners.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide 12 months maternity cover and will have a wide and varied portfolio of work and will support the Senior Improvement Advisors (SIAs) on key programmes within Aqua. It is expected that the successful candidate will have foundation knowledge and experience of QI and personalised care approaches and priorities. The post holder is not required to be expert in them. The successful candidate will be provided with support and development opportunities to enable them to develop more in-depth experience and capability in the portfolio programmes. The role will require the post holder to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes and requires continuous engagement with members and partners. The post holder will be required to work closely and regularly on site with all Aqua clients and with our national partners and customers. This will likely require extensive travel across the UK on a regular basis. (This can be weekly at times of acute delivery and support.)

The post holder must have experience of working in/on quality improvement (QI) initiatives and in the use of QI and be able to apply this as they work with people across health and care systems.
