An opportunity to join a newly developed in-situ orthoplastic service within the major trauma centre at Salford Royal.
Anexcitingopportunity has arisen for the appointment of Post CCT Fellow in the Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics, at Salford Royal Foundation Trust, level 1 Major Trauma Centre.
This is a 6-month post which will provide an opportunity for the appointee to learn and develop subspecialty-level skill in the management of specialist knee surgery, encompassing soft tissue (ACL, Multi-ligament, Meniscus), PFJ instability, Osteotomy and Arthroplasty surgery. There will also be exposure to major trauma.
The job plan will be subject to review during the initial six months period and there is scope for performance based contract extension.
As the senior clinical fellows appointed to the department, the successful applicants will join consultant body and share 16 SHOs with the rest of the Department of Trauma, Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Senior Clinical Fellow within Trauma & Orthopaedics, at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. This is a 6 - 12 month post which will provide an opportunity for the appointee to learn and develop subspecialty-level skill in the management of Specialist Knee Surgery and Major Orthopaedic Trauma.
It is proposed that the appointee will provide 10 PA's per week (9 PA's DCC and 1 SPA) which will include clinics, operating lists and administration.
On call commitments
The post holder will join a 1 in 16 on call with corresponding banding. Resident on call full shift system.
Primarily based at Salford Royal Hospital, with possibility of some activity at other sites
