Within Children's Services, we are looking to employ enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Staff Nurses, to work within the Health Visiting Team within the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) area .

We work in partnership with the local authority and health services on a challenging and rewarding caseload and are piloting new and innovative ways of working. We strongly encourage creativity and new ideas.

Main duties of the job

Community Staff nurses work within a Health Visiting team across locally defined areas and support the service across HMR, to provide a safe service for all preschool children and their families.

The post holder will be based within a team of Health Visitors and skill-mix staff. You will be providing universal and enhanced Health Visiting services to children and families from all cultural diversities on the case load. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in public health, child development and multi-agency working focusing on the diverse communities within HMR.

You will have an ability and willingness to contribute effectively to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. You should also have evidence of recent professional development and an understanding of Community Practice and Public Health Issues.
