Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Integrated Care Division for a Ward Manager on H2 part of the Respiratory Support Unit here at Salford Care Organisation.
We are looking for an individual who has a great awareness and knowledge of respiratory nursing and who has managed a team in this speciality before. You will be a driver for providing high quality care for our patients, bringing new and grateful ideas for change and improvement within a clinical setting. As well as motivating staff to achieve and maintain high standards of care. This will be additional to your role of being an integral and valued member of the clinical team.
The role is very rewarding, however can be pressured at times and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. Main duties of the job
Applicants are encouraged to arrange a visit to the Unit to meet our dedicated multi- disciplinary team and allow us to showcase our outstanding unit. You will have the opportunity to chat with staff and discuss the vacancy opportunity with our Lead Nurse Lisa Coleby.
H2 cares for patients with various complex medical conditions, alongside patients who require specialist respiratory treatment such as Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV), Chest drains, Tracheostomy care and High flow controlled oxygen.
The team work closely with all other members of the multi disciplinary team to ensure the patient is cared for in a holistic manner throughout their journey. The post holder will also be involved in leading complex discharge planning and escalation to ensure patients are discharged to a safe environment.
We are looking for a senior nurse with appropriate experience, skills, and excellent leadership qualities to lead and manage the team.
You will be expected to use your skills to create a vision, influencing change and ensuring seamless care. The role can be high pressured at times and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. You will be supported by the senior nursing team, as well as your respiratory clinicians to deliver on what is required within the role.
Within this role you will also be an integral part of the clinical team ensuring care is delivered to patients.
