Job summary

The Main Outpatient Department at Fairfield General Hospital holds clinics for many different specialities within the department and we are currently looking to recruit a registered nurse to the existing team.

The department provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across a variety of specialities as you are expected to work across all areas with support from unregistered members of staff.

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your Manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. You will offer a person-centred approach to patient care promoting independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure compassionate and personalised patient care. Main duties of the job

  • Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures
  • Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care through assessment
  • Advise patients/clients of the promotion of health and prevention of illness
  • Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
  • Undertake delegated responsibilities from the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse or their deputy.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of current issues that may have an impact on how clinics function.
  • Performing clinical skills such as wound care and assisting in Minor Ops .
