We have an exciting opportunities for a Band 7 Nurse to join our friendly and supportive Acute Medical Gastroenterology Nursing Team who are committed to providing and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Ward L2 specialises in acute medical nursing. The Unit has 24 beds . You will be looking after patients with hepato-biliary issues, IBD and substance abuse problems.
Posts are offered on a full time basis with a working pattern over 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job
Ward L2 cares for patients with a variety of gastroenterology conditions. The team work closely with all other members of the multi disciplinary team to ensure the patient is cared for in a holistic manner throughout their inpatient stay to ensure the patient is safely discharged at the earliest opportunity.
The ward is working towards the Nursing Assessment and Accreditation system which is the Quality Assessment Tool within the organisation. As the ward manager you would be an integral part of achieving this with the support from the senior leadership and a dynamic team.
We are looking for a senior nurse with appropriate experience and excellent leadership qualities to lead the team. You will use your skills to create a vision, influencing change and ensuring seamless care. The role can be high pressured at times and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. You will be supported by the senior nursing team to deliver on what is required within the role.
Within this role you will also be an integral part of the clinical team ensuring care is delivered to patients.
