We are currently looking to recruit band 3 Healthcare Support Workers to join our innovative, enthusiastic and dynamic School Nursing team. Various hours are available working Monday to Friday. You will work alongside the school nursing team completing the healthy child program and public health work, including the administration of vaccinations. These positions are fixed term in school nursing until January 2024 then permanent within the NCA.
Main duties of the job
You will deliver high quality service provision that promotes and improves school health and addresses inequalities for children and young people aged between 5-19 years of age. Working within a skill mixed team to facilitate a culture of learning and reflective practice. As well as building positive working relationships with other service providers, to ensure a 'Think Family Approach' is offered to all.
You will be offered an induction programme, mentorship and a supportive environment, in which to work. There is also a commitment to supporting staff through appraisal and personal development programmes and continuing professional development
