We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic paediatric nurses to join our ever-growing team. Here within Oldham we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly welcome to our experienced paediatric team.
Within Acute Services we have a large and varied paediatric service which includes Paediatric Inpatients, Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric High Dependency, Children's Observation and Assessment and Children's Outpatient's Services. Within Community Role you will provide skilled nursing care supporting children and young people with acute/complex health needs within home and clinic settings .Managing a caseload of children and young people, acting as a link between community, primary, secondary and tertiary care. Working in patients homes and other community settings.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop to your skills across our range of services, both in hospital and at home and you will be supported in your development and career progression by our bespoke induction and development package. This position will be a rotational post every 6 months.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients. As a nurse you will assist in the management and organisation of work as required, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support for junior staff. You will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of all learners and unregistered staff, providing a teaching role and acting as a named supervisor.
