Job summary
The Northern Care Alliance Logistic Team is looking to appoint an Inventory and Scan 4 Safety Co-Ordinator, the role is to support the Inventory and Scan 4 Safety Manager to implement and manage an effective and efficient Scan4Safety program across the Northern Care Alliance.
The ability to confidently use systems and articulate benefits to users will be instrumental to the role. You will be responsible for the deployment, administration, access, control, and support of the organisation's Inventory Management (IM) and Point of Care (POC) system across all sites of the NCA.
The role of the Inventory & Scan for Safety co-ordinator requires the successful applicant to work with others but also autonomously at times. You will be expected to contribute to the sharing of best practice within the Procurement department so that both internal and external data sources are engaged in an effective and consistent way. A sound working knowledge of GS1 and S4S principles is expected.
We are looking for a self-motivated, innovative, and proactive individual for this challenging and rewarding role within a busy NHS Logistics Team, with a working knowledge of Inventory Management systems, NHS Sc TR reporting and ordering EDC, EDC Gold, Qlikview and website content management systems.
Main duties of the job
- Proactively and consistently ensure that an effective and efficient procurement service is provided that is compliant with the Trust Governance Framework Manual and Procurement legislation.
- Deliver social and environmental objectives, including working towards net zero and better environmental and social outcomes in procurement.
- Develop systems and processes which support the implementation of GS1 standards.
- Maintain the inventory management system, allowing for the ordering of stock and non-stock products and the recording of procedures at point of care.
- Work with key stakeholders across all sites and secure engagement to ensure the correct equipment, medical consumables and services are available for patient care.
- Action Medical Device Alerts (MDA) to ensure compliance with national instructions relating to equipment / products safety
- Provide guidance and support to line reports and other members of the team to enable them to achieve individual and team goals and objectives.
- Support the department with the implementation of GS1 standards working with operational sub-groups to develop systems and processes which support the delivery of Scan 4 Safety.
Present the procurement function as a progressive, proactive, responsive and innovative department and ensure that an effective and efficient procurement service is provided to all end-users
