Job summary
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us as the Divisional Director of Nursing for the Division of Surgery at Salford Care Organisation (part of Northern Care Alliance), providing high level professional, strategic and operational leadership.
This is an exciting time to join the Division, with the role offering a unique opportunity for a senior nurse to develop their career with the guidance and support of a strong, patient focused senior leadership team. The role will form part of the triumvirate leadership team for the division, working closely with the Chair of Division and Managing Director in ensuing high standards of service are delivered to our patients
You will be a Registered Nurse, educated to Master's degree level or equivalent and provide evidence of continuing professional development. You will be highly motivated, an exceptional nurse leader and have a business focus, who will help shape, develop and enhance both the Division of Surgery and our Care Organisation.
A proven track record of innovation and success in senior operational and clinical management roles is essential, including high levels of engagement with staff and external partners.
Main duties of the job
The Divisional Director of Nursing (DDN) is accountable for the professional development of nursing staff & AHP's and has overall responsibility for the service users, their families and our community's experience. The DDN will provide professional leadership that will enable, influence, negotiate and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to improve patient care and nurse & AHP leadership.
As a very senior nurse, the DDN will work with the Director of Nursing to ensure that professional standards for nursing & AHP's are maintained across the Trust and that the organisation fulfils in total its mandatory responsibilities concerning safety, risk and governance.
