Job summary
Our maternity service is excited to offer Midwifery Ultrasound Practitioner roles as part of our antenatal pathways improvement programme.
This role will support you to combine midwifery practice with your ultrasound skills providing high quality holistic care to women and birthing people.
Main duties of the job
The role will include providing planned antenatal midwifery care alongside third trimester ultrasound scans for women and birthing people who have been identified as having a moderate risk factor for fetal growth restriction.
The role will also involve undertaking third trimester ultrasounds for women and birthing people who require an ultrasound scan following a community midwifery appointment or maternity triage attendance. This may also provide the opportunity for you to practice midwifery within the triage setting.
