Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the MacMillan Urology Clinical Nurse specialist team, hosted by Oldham Care Organisation.
We have a vacancy for a highly motivated Macmillan Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 7.
As a valued member of our team you will have a strong interest and passion to work with Urology cancer patientsand will work with the wider members of the multidisciplinary teamto deliver a high standard of care.
The successful candidate will be supported in the role by the Directorate triumvirate, the Urology Lead Nurse, and the Urology MacMillan Lead Nurse Specialist.
Main duties of the job
You will be a Registered General Nurse and have a degree in a related subject.
The successful candidate will have relevant post-registration experience at Band 6 or above either in Urology or Cancer services.
You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage your own workload, as well as showing exceptional leadership skills, team working and management experience. You will also be able to identify areas of development, both personally and within the department, and work towards addressing these.
The role will be based at Royal Oldham hospital, but you will be expected to work in clinics across Fairfield, Rochdale and North Manchester.
