Job summary

We are excited to be recruiting an Arts in Health Lead to develop and deliver an ambitious Arts in Health programme, which will be delivered across the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. Thisrole is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual with a professional background in arts, a passion for creative health, and exceptional organisational skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead on the design, implementation and delivery, evaluation, and maintenance of an Arts in Health Service for patients and colleagues across the NCA. They will creatively develop and lead on new initiatives that support the organisation's 'Improving Lives' strategy in collaboration with key stakeholder and partner services. With responsibility for assessing, planning, organising, and providing a combination of creative activities and therapies, the postholder will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers to build a volunteer-led therapy service and develop plans for roll out of services across the NCA footprint. They will analyse data and write reports based on the health and wellbeing programmes and effectively communicate to a wide range of forums

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area e.g. Arts, Health and wellbeing

  • Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2

Knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrates a strong interest in Arts and how they relate to Health
  • Ability to work under pressure and priorities workload
