We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Manager (Band 6) to join the Group Executive Office at the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group. This is a key coordination role supporting the Group Chief Nurse, Group Medical Director, Group Chief Delivery Officer and Group Chief Finance Officer, helping to ensure the effective running of senior leadership functions across the Group.You will play a central role in managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and governance processes, producing high quality reports and briefings, and tracking key actions and decisions across a wide range of strategic and operational priorities. Working closely with the Head of Performance and Head of Clinical Business & Reporting, you will act as a trusted partner, supporting delivery, assurance and continuous improvement.This role requires discretion, diplomacy and a strong attention to detail, alongside excellent communication and organisational skills. Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide day to day business and administrative leadership support to the Group Executive Office, ensuring its smooth and professional operation. Key responsibilities include coordinating complex diaries and meetings, preparing agendas and papers, producing accurate minutes and action logs, and ensuring timely follow up of decisions.You will support governance and assurance processes by maintaining accurate records, tracking actions and liaising with hospital and corporate teams. The role includes collating, analysing and summarising information for Board reports, dashboards and senior briefings, as well as coordinating leadership led projects and monitoring milestones and delivery.
You will manage key workforce administration for the office, including recruitment coordination, appraisal tracking, sickness and annual leave monitoring, and maintaining accurate ESR records. You will also support financial management activity, including tracking cost improvement initiatives and assisting with business cases and proposals.
You will act as a professional first point of contact for the Group Office, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, building effective relationships across clinical and non clinical teams, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve ways of working through better use of digital tools and processes.
