If you are motivated by purpose, leadership and impact, this is an outstanding opportunity.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Managing Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation, working closely with the Executive Managing Director to ensure the Trust delivers safe, effective and compassionate care. You will oversee key performance, quality, governance and risk functions, ensuring that systems are robust, responsive and aligned with Trust priorities.

A core part of the role involves leading major programmes of work, including transformation initiatives, service improvement programmes and Trust-wide projects that support innovation, digital development and operational efficiency. You will work collaboratively with senior leaders across clinical and corporate services, enabling consistent standards, strong accountability and high-quality decision-making.

The role includes supporting Care Group teams, contributing to Group-wide programmes across Norfolk and Waveney, and helping shape long-term strategic planning. You will also represent the Executive Managing Director as required, providing leadership in internal and external forums and taking part in the senior manager on-call rota.

Central to the role is promoting an inclusive culture that reflects our PRIDE values, building strong relationships, coaching leaders and encouraging continuous improvement.
