If so, General Medical Outpatients are looking for a receptionist to join their friendly team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our reception team in General Medical Outpatients. General Medical Outpatients is a very busy area which has clinics covering 5 specialities across 3 Care Groups, including Endocrinology, Renal and Gastroenterology. Our receptionists prep for the 12 clinics per day, greet patients and their relatives and outcome the clinics on PAS as well as providing admin support for the nursing staff and the clinicians.

Main duties of the job
As the post holder, you will provide a high-quality reception and support service within the Outpatients Department, and as such, will need to be able to communicate well with patients and their relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi-professional staff, internal and external to the Trust. In order to provide a support service to the technical staff, a versatile approach is essential and the ability to cope with a large number of different tasks simultaneously is a prerequisite of this post.
The Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely input of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), observing the rules of 'real time data entry'. All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality.
