Due to career progression, we are looking for enthusiastic & motivated Occupational Therapists to join our established Band 5 Rotation scheme and help us ensure that we meet the Trust's vision to provide the best care for every patient.We are able to offer a broad range of experience across many clinical areas including :
o Neuroscienceso Respiratoryo Cardiologyo Trauma & Orthopaedicso AMU/ Short Stay Medicineo Hand Therapyo Oncologyo Rheumatologyo Paediatricso Home Firsto Acute Response Team
We will support you to develop current/ new skills with access to in-service training and professional development. You will receive supervision and annual appraisal; have access to peer support and encouragement to take an active role within your own continuing professional development. If you are newly qualified our OT preceptorship team will work with you as an individual across rotations to help you to consolidate your career progression.

Main duties of the job
As post holder, you will:
- Be responsible for assessing and treating your own designated caseload of patients and maintaining their records as an autonomous practitioner
- Carry out day to day informal supervision of unqualified staff
- Assess risks relating to the discharge process to ensure a safe and timely discharge of patients to the most appropriate setting
- Provide advice and information to patients/ carers including instruction and training regarding use of equipment issued
You will have :
- Exposure to and the opportunity to learn to manage a diverse caseload across various specialisms, with support and training to develop and prepare for moving into more specialist senior roles
- Access to regular and culturally embedded supervision with more experienced members of the therapy team, as well as very close working and learning links with the MDT and other professionals within and without the Trust.
- The opportunity to work across both inpatient and outpatient areas and outreaching into the community as part of a wide and varied rotation.
