Job summary
The Jenny Lind Children's Hospital, NNUH, is seeking a Consultant in General Paediatrics with a special interest in renal medicine. The successful appointee will help manage the existing service and collaborate closely with the Nottingham Renal team to support local renal patients. The post comprises 10 PAs, of which 1.5 are SPA and 8.5 are dedicated to clinical work.
Applicants who have completed their higher specialist training in Paediatrics can apply, and prior experience in renal medicine is desirable. The tertiary nephrology team will provide appropriate support to the appointee who wishes to broaden their subspecialty experience.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will collaborate with colleagues across various paediatric subspecialties, including general paediatrics, urology, and neonatology, to deliver renal support to both inpatients and outpatients as required.
The acute paediatrics and paediatric medicine on-call are provided by a team of consultants working across the children's emergency department, children's assessment unit, and inpatient wards.
