Locum Consultant in Older Peoples Medicine/Acute Medical Unit
The closing date is 14 May 2025
Job summary
We invite applications for two new 2-year fixed term locum consultant posts in Older People's Medicine (OPM) department and Acute Internal Medicine (AIM). The aim is to help support and grow the successful applicant in applying and achieving dual-accrediting CESR in Geriatrics and General(Internal) Medicine. We would anticipate that by the end of the two years, the Locum Consultant is able to apply for a substantive post in OPM (or AIM) having submitted a CESR application.
Post 1 will include 6 sessions OPM, 4 sessions AIM and OPM on calls. Post 2 will include 6 sessions AIM, 4 sessions OPM and AIM on calls. The two posts will be intimately integrated to work closely together so that one is in OPM, the other is in AIM.
Job plans are flexible and include core activities such as taking responsibility for the care of inpatients under Older Peoples Medicine (OPM) in the Norfolk and Norwich University hospital and the Acute Medical Unit
