This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Housekeeping Team at the Residences based at the NNUHFT. We have 144 en-suite rooms onsite with hotel stays and longer tenancy stays. The Department is committed to providing a high-quality service to those living in our accommodation.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic organized individuals to be able to work on their own and part of a team. You will be responsible for their own areas. This could range from cleaning kitchens, shared communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms for hotel rooms or our long stay tenants. This is a physical post and can be challenging at times but you will be supported by an amazing and friendly team. The housekeeper role is an integral part of the residences working alongside both maintenance and office team.
As part of the role, you will have face to face contact with medical professionals, so a positive and friendly disposition is required. They will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service and report to the Housekeeping Supervisor daily.

Job responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a working rapport with nursing, medical, technical, ancillary and administration colleagues staying onsite
- Help with cleaning and maintain tidiness in all areas, ensuring everywhere is thoroughly cleaned
- Assist with the cleaning of all equipment including laundry washing machines and driers
- To replenish consumables where needed including toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning cloths and refuse bags
- To check linen allocation daily, report any problems to the Accommodation Office. Ensure dirty linen is washed, dried and pressed in accordance with guidance
- Ensure kitchens are free of rubbish, surfaces all cleaned and oven free of dirt inside and out
- Ensure adequate stocks of items are in areas as required, and assist with the ordering of stores and stationery supplies. Know how to use Powergate where applicable
- Put supplies and stationery away in storage areas as required. To manoeuvre various housekeeping trollies which may contain cleaning products, bedding and disposal of rubbish
- Keep all storage areas clean and neat and promote a safe working environment
- Make refreshments and wash up as required
