Job summary

We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney;

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH)

Main duties of the job

The Senior Data Migration Analyst will become a Meditech data model migration expert, have extensive data warehousing & SQL experience and will need to currently understand business objectives, NHS statutory & contractual deliverables, questions, and problems. They will have the ability in obtaining and presenting data to address these

  • Degree level or equivalent experience relevant to the role.
  • Postgraduate qualification (master's degree) or equivalent experience or qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience in a Health Informatics environment.

Experience

  • Experience of training staff on technical systems. Database administration experience.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence development lifecycle. Experience and understanding of data quality issues within the NHS and how to resolve them.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of programming languages, SQL Server Management Studio and scripting languages.Ability to write advanced, complex relational and multidimensional SQL queries and complex stored procedures.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of mandatory reporting requirements, NHS data standards and definitions. Good knowledge of the NHS Data dictionary and Model.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - able to identify key points from complex issues and explain them appropriately and with clarity.
