Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Guardian of Safe Working Hours (GoSWH) administration team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
You provide a professional, efficient and effective administrative support function to the Guardian of Safe Working Hours (GoSWH) across the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Support the Trust complies with the contractual requirements of the 2016 Terms and Conditions for Doctors in Training in relation to Exception Reporting.
Receive copies of and oversee all Exception Reports raised by Junior Doctors (both Training and Trust posts).
You will also take on all administrative tasks on behalf of the GOSWH.

Main duties of the job
To highlight when reported any issues, Safety Concerns generated via an Exception Report to the GoSWH. To allow the GoSWH to escalate to the DME or the Medical Director.
To analyse and identify trends of Exception Reporting across Departments.
To provide general administrative support, as required, to enable an effective and efficient service to be maintained for Exception Reporting purposes.
To ensure that all information is sought and is available in preparation for the GoSWH Reports to relevant committees and Trust Board.
Compile reports on behalf of the GoSWH to relevant committees including the Trust Board which summarizes all exception reports, work schedule reviews and rota gaps, and provides assurance on compliance with safe working hours by both the employer and doctors in approved training programmes.
To communicate on behalf of the GoSWH, the DME, and the Medical Director and their team, ensuring that the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.

2. Contribute to the NHS service improvement/modernisation agenda e.g. service redesign.
3. Put into practice new or revised processes in relation to Exception Reporting.
4. To maintain records associated with Exception Reporting in accordance with the Trust Policies in order to ensure internal and external audit requirements are met for evidence of meeting KPIs.
5. Undertake training as required to maintain competency/comply with Trust Policies.
