Job summary

It is our privilege to provide ophthalmic healthcare to over 100,000 patients across Norfolk and the surrounding area. We undertake the assessment and care of ophthalmic patients. It is a progressive and exciting department, which is continuously adapting to meet and enhance the care provided to our patients. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person who is keen to join the team within Ophthalmic Theatres.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and highly skilled team as we look forward to the future development of the service. We will be able to offer specific ophthalmic training for the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, work with all members of the Ophthalmic Theatres team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care delivered with dignity, respect and compassion.

To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence.

Hours will 16.25 per week and be worked over Monday - Friday. There will also be an on-call requirement during period Monday-Sunday.
