Job summary
The Jenny Lind Children's Hospital, NNUH, is seeking a 1-year fixed term 7PA consultant in paediatric gastroenterology, with the possibility of a substantive position becoming available.
The successful appointee will help shape the developments of this well-established unit and the East of England paediatric Gastroenterology network.
The post comprises a 4.6PA in tertiary gastroenterology to deliver clinical services at NNUH as part of the East of England Paediatric Gastroenterology Network. There will be a 1.4PA commitment providing a 1:16 contribution to acute Paediatrics.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work with colleagues in paediatric gastroenterology, paediatric medicine, surgery, and neonatology to provide gastroenterology and nutrition support to inpatients and outpatients in the Jenny Lind Children Hospital. They will collaborate with colleagues at CUH to develop closer clinical, research and training links, as lead centres within the regional paediatric gastroenterology network
The Acute paediatrics and paediatric medicine on-call are delivered by a team of consultants working across children's emergency department, children's assessment unit and inpatient wards. It is anticipated that with local and regional development the post will evolve and develop into a substantive 8PA Paediatric Gastroenterology post.
