The successful candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, and ambitious and will help lead on development and delivery of high standards of nursing care to our elective patients within the department.
The candidate will be working along side out current clinical educator.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will take responsibility for developing and overseeing an educational programme for a range of staff within Trauma and Orthopaedics. Develop processes to ensure staff practice competently in all aspects of Trauma and Orthopaedics and implement recording systems to indicate progress. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Trust mandatory training requirements for all grades of nursing staff.
You will work together with the current clinical educator to develop the educational team and the next 5 years plan for the department education plan. You will participate in delivering educational sessions and work together with the specialist nurses, outpatient nurses, trauma, and elective pathways.
This year will also see the opening of our dedicated Elective Orthopaedic Centre which will include two brand new additional theatres and a 21 bedded in-patient ward. This is an expanding department and it's an exciting time to join.
In the future you will also be involved in the education pathway for the department in the lead of becoming a major trauma centre.
