Job summary

The Phlebotomy Department based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is part of the Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA), a managed Pathology network involving NNUH, the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn.

The Phlebotomy department is responsible for the provision of a phlebotomy service at NNUH only. This covers provision of daily ward based phlebotomy on a 7 day per week basis as well as outpatient phlebotomy on the NNUH site.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to take blood samples from patients on both wards and out-patient clinics. We are looking for candidates with an interest in providing hands on care to patients in a busy clinical environment. Applications are welcome from applicants who may not have experience of taking bloods as full training will be given.
