Job summary
The Outpatient Department at Cromer Hospital is a busy unit, providing outpatient services to the people of North Norfolk and surrounding area.
Allies outpatients department encompasses both Outpatient Clinics, pre-assessment and Local Anaesthetic Minor Procedures for Ophthalmic patients. The department offers Cataract and Oculoplastic Surgery and Intravitreal Injection lists in their theatre and provides Outpatient appointments for Cataracts, Glaucoma, Medical Retinal, AMD & Ocular plastics.
You should be able to work well as part of a team and be able to prioritize your own workload.
No previous Ophthalmology experience necessary as full training & support will be provided in house.

Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work in all areas of the Department and be taught to use the specialized equipment. This will include pre assessment of patients for cataract, ocular plastic surgery & glaucoma procedures. Preparation of the patient for IVT lists & cataracts. Giving Post operative discharge information. Undertaking Visual acuity, visual fields & instillation of eye drops via PGD.
1 Working hours Monday - Friday, No bank holidays or weekends.
