Job summary

The Transformation Team works across the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is responsible for the discovery, design, and delivery of complex transformation initiatives, ensuring that all benefits are clearly defined and mapped and that quality impacts are considered, documented and monitored. The Transformation Team has a vital role in the delivery of NNUH's ambition to deliver outstanding care and support and support the delivery of Trust's strategic ambitions over the next 5 years, including the delivery of financial savings targets.

The Transformation team aspires to become a Centre of Excellence in supporting the development and delivery of the sustainable financial and clinical quality complex transformational improvements.

Main duties of the job

Delivery Support:

  • To provide direct support to the Transformation team in all aspect of the Trust CIP and Transformational Initiatives projects and programmes.
  • To support the development, implementation and monitoring of the Trust CIP and Transformational Initiative projects and programmes; supporting planning workshops, developing work breakdown structures and establishing projects governance, management structures and monitoring.
  • To support regular project meetings and reporting cycles, to include booking/arranging meetings, setting and circulating agendas, taking notes, updating project plans, action logs and risk/issues registers
  • Maintain necessary programme documentation,
  • Work alongside members of the PMO to maintain the repository of programme and project management standards and tools and maintain programme/project files in an orderly manner.

Communication:

  • Act as the point of contact for enquiries from project teams

Delivery and Organisation:

  • To support the monitoring and reporting of programme and project benefits and reporting progresses in achieving benefits.
  • To support the process of closing a programme or project; supporting the planning and delivery of lessons learned workshops, as well as supporting the production of lessons learned reports; support the operation handover of programme and projects

  • Provide administrative support to project managers, and resolve day-to-day problems independently
  • Act as the point of contact for enquiries from project teams
  • Work effectively as part of a team, and autonomously within own project area
  • Use knowledge of administrative procedures and practices to support the Improvement Team, including competent use of a range of IT applications to promote efficiency and high quality of work
  • Use experience of data extraction, report creation and analytical skills to support the Improvement Team to provide an accurate, efficient and proactive service
  • Support project leads with analysis and reporting against milestones, financials and key performance indicators from the project plans
  • Assist the Transformation Team with the preparation of reports on the progress of projects
  • Support Trust decision-making, by discussion and interpretation of complex/sensitive data
  • Lead on specific service developments within the Transformation Team
  • Manage projects as agreed with the Transformation Team, to include the use of persuasive, motivational, and negotiating skills to ensure a successful project outcome
