Job summary
Young patients in Norfolk benefit from a new expansion of the Children's Emergency Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
The new unit, which opened its doors in December 2018, has tripled in size.
Other improvements include a larger waiting room designated for younger and older children, enhanced clinical facilities including a minor injury bay and an expansion in the delivery of mental health care for children in the emergency department.
We are committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care and looking for a flexible and motivated individual to work as a Health Care Assistant within the busy Children's Emergency Department. You will be required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
There are opportunities for further training including wound care and plastering.
Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the Registered Children's Nurse/ Registered nurse, you will work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care delivered with dignity, respect and compassion.
