Job summary

Reporting to the the Director of Workforce , you will be joining a team of motivated professionals, dedicated to supporting the needs of over 8,500 staff.

As part of the HR senior leadership team, you will be working alongside Directors, Chiefs of Division, and colleagues across the Norfolk and Waveney Health & Social Care System. You will use your professional influence to contribute to the development and implementation of our new People & Culture Strategy, which sets an ambitious 5-year work programme for the future. You will play a pivotal role in the Digital Workforce Road Map, in automating work processes and improving access to the services most used by our staff.

The postholder will lead the following Teams: E-Rostering, Recruitment, ESR and Payroll, Temporary Staffing, Employee Benefits, Job Evaluation, HR Operations and Workforce Analysis.

Main duties of the job

With the introduction of two new workforce roles, the Head of Resources will be an integral member of the HR senior leadership team.

The Head of Resources is responsible for the provision of high quality strategic, and business focused human resources support and transactional services to the Trust. You will develop and deliver a strategic response to the Trust recruitment and resources challenges. You will explore and implement new and more effective methods regarding the provision of transactional services working in conjunction with colleagues within the Workforce Team, internally within the Trust and externally within the wider healthcare environment.

You will work closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering and Medical Workforce to continuously improve our People Practices in the above areas, so that we get 'the basics' right every time for our people
