Research at NNUH is conducted primarily at the NIHR Norfolk Clinical Research Facility (CRF), located at the main hospital as well as the Quadram Institute on the Norwich Research Park. The Norfolk CRF is one of 28 NIHR- partly funded clinical research facilities networked across the UK, which gives superb access to sites, expertise and research infrastructure.
The post of Interim Performance and Delivery Manager for Cancer is perfect for an organised individual who is happy to work both independently and as part of a wider team. Our team regularly hits targets and is known for the innovative research projects we have facilitated. You will be supported by the Trust, who has big ambitions for research here at NNUH.

Main duties of the job
As post-holder, you willplay a key role in our many ground-breaking research studies; most recently NNUH has been recognised nationally for playing a key role in the development of a highly effective new coronavirus vaccine. We are lucky to have Norwich Research Park as our neighbour, as well as strong links to the University of East Anglia and colleagues around the region, which means you will have the opportunity to network and regularly share your knowledge and findings.
The post is suitable for an individual who has:
- strong leadership/management qualities and is willing to support the NNUH clinical research delivery team, with a focus on contributing operationally to the delivery of an effective and efficient service, within the cancer team.
- an ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment, whilst providing hands-on technical support to developing solutions to underlying problems and preparing relevant management information on a weekly and monthly basis will form the basis of the role.
You will be:
- practically minded and be able to ensure that the proposed solutions are supported and implementable whilst applying a structured change management approach and methodology for the impact of any change.
- support the development of business plans, recovery plans, reporting progress, risks and issues.
- manage all corporate business returns including planning and workforce returns.
