Applications are now invited for an exciting new role to help lead Infection for the NIHR's Clinical Research Network (CRN) East of England.
Main duties of the job
This Specialty Research Lead post for Infection is remunerated at 0.5 sessions/week for 1 year (renewable).
As Specialty Research Lead you will be in a nationally prominent position within the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) and within your specialty. You will provide leadership for delivery of the NIHR CRN's portfolio of studies and will work closely with a highly expert team of CRN managers, other senior clinical leaders within the organisation and will be supported by a team of administrators, information managers and others.

This post offers the successful candidate an opportunity to influence the future development of research within Infection and to enable large numbers of patients to benefit both from the advantages of research participation and from the outputs of research studies. This post is open to individuals with experience in Infection Research. The post will be held by the existing employing organisation and the successful candidate will be able to undertake this role from their existing location.
About us
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) was launched in 2007 and is now the largest funder of research in the UK. Over the last year, it has been instrumental in delivering UPH research to find effective COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.
The NIHR CRN East of England is one of 15 NIHR local Clinical Research Networks (LCRNs) that drive clinical research delivery across the locality and is now playing a key regional role in managing the recovery of clinical research across all specialties as the UK pandemic evolves.
