Senior Trust Medical Secretary - Head and Neck

Job summary

The Head & Neck Directorate office is based within Outpatients West at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and covers ENT and Oral Health departments.

An enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking, and flexible person is required to assist with the smooth running of this busy department. The post combines clerical and computer work. The postholder will be expected to provide an efficient, reliable secretarial service to medical / secretarial staff within the Head and Neck Directorate.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for setting up monitoring systems relating to HN clinic patients attending to ensure all actions post clinic are recorded accurately and actioned as appropriate setting up systems with our colleagues from QEH, IHT and JPH to ensure data flows as appropriate and when required.

You must have a good working knowledge of the Trust's IT systems, including PAS, ORSOS, ICE, RIS, Synapse & Somerset would be helpful for this role.

Be an assistance for WL management, MDT and patient pathway PTL cover will be required as this is a small team.

Knowledge of cancer pathways is helpful for this role but not essential

This role is extremely varied and can require staff to be flexible at short notice to meet the demands of the service.
