We are looking for a doctor to join us in the Gastroenterology Department at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. The role will have inpatient and outpatient duties. While this will be a service post, there will be training opportunities available to successful applicants.

Main duties of the job

All employees, including the appointee, will be expected to be involved in implementing the Trust's Clinical Governance programme. This includes active participation in clinical audit, quality, clinical guidelines/pathways, professional development, appraisal and risk management.

The post will largely be involved in providing high quality inpatient care to our large cohort of Gastroenterology inpatients. The inpatient teams are divided into 3 (luminal Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) and the successful applicant will likely rotate through these teams

We provide an 8am to 9pm 7-day Gastroenterology service which the appointee will be expected to contribute.

The successful applicant will be allocated a Clinical/educational Supervisor so that in addition to service provision, training opportunities and personal development opportunities can be identified.
