The Norfolk Centre for Interventional Radiology (NCIR) team are looking for Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners or Paramedics to join our team to further develop and progress your career as one of our pre-assessment nurses with-in the department.
We have an exciting opportunity to become part of a unique team in a highly patient-focused role to collaborate with colleagues on shaping and developing patient service to put us at the cutting edge of IR developments as we grow as a team.
NCIR aims to recruit, nurture, and develop talent through our in-house specialist training programmes with a period of supernumerary status. Previous Interventional experience is not required as you will have a robust program of induction, supporting your continuous professional development by the experienced NCIR team.

Pre-assessment clinics operate five days a week from 8:00am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
NCIR comprises of a 16-bed recovery multidisciplinary service for elective patients, inpatients, and emergencies, with four theatres that aims to provide minimally invasive procedures using advanced radiological image guidance (x-rays, ultrasound, and CT). As part of our team, you will work alongside Nurses, ODP's, Paramedics, Radiographers, Radiologist and Radiology Support Workers, along with theatre teams from Vascular to Obstetrics.
The NCIR is committed to provide every patient with a high standard of safe patient care. We are looking for a registered Nurse/ODP/Paramedic to join our established Radiology team, to work in our pre-assessment clinic providing nurse-led pre-assessments to patients having elective procedures primarily in Interventional Radiology and across the whole of Radiology to ensure patients are adequately prepared and informed up to a month before their procedure.

- Ensure that optimum care is given to all patients and is appropriately documented
- Deliver a high quality service for all patients within sphere of responsibility
- Act as role model and be a credible practitioner within the clinical area
