An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and be part of the ward team within Gastroenterology.
Gastroenterology is an exciting, evidence-based specialty that offers opportunities to learn and develop nursing practice within a supported structure.
Our Gastroenterologists have experience in the management of all Gastroenterology conditions from complex eating disorders to acute bleeds.
We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our friendly and dedicated team with a passion for caring.
You will be fully supported and provided with learning and training opportunities.
Individuals should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a willingness to take on new challenges.
Whilst previous experience of caring for acutely ill patients would be advantageous; we are also interested in hearing from individuals who have a special talent for being caring and compassionate and who would be able to go the extra mile to help our patients feel valued and cared for and at all times to treat them with dignity and respect.

Main duties of the job
To work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
Act as a leader in the clinical area, in the absence of a more senior member of staff. To work in accordance with the principles set out by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service,all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
