Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Primary Care Mental Health Team Lead to work in partnership in Primary Care as part of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, £46,148 - £52,809 per annum.

The introduction of the ARRS roles has been part of a wider transformation and expansion of community-based mental health services set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. As a Directorate and team, we have been through a period of consolidation and have now commenced a journey of growth and expansion around the clinical services which are provided in the Primary Care Directorate with a focus now on providing leadership to deliver evidence-based care and to drive quality improvements within primary care mental health.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will communicate and work collaboratively with the general practice teams and Primary Care mental health team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. They will liaise with other professionals and agencies both statutory and non-statutory and provide a link between primary and secondary services from a North Staffs Combined perspective. They will also support the delivery and the development of evidence-based pathways and interventions including the deliberate self-harm pathway and offer supervision and guidance to the Primary Care Mental Health workforce to develop and inform the model and approaches to delivery. The role will focus on the delivery of a high-quality clinical service to Service Users, their Families and Carers in primary care.
