Job summary
Fire Safety & Security Officer, Band 6.
The primary role is to undertake the duties of the Fire Safety and Security Officer across the Trust. You will act as the Trust's competent person in fire related issues in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Fire Safety Act 2021, The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and the NHS Firecode standards - Technical Technical Memorandum HTM 05-01, HTM 05-02 and HTM 05-03.
Main duties of the job
To act as the principal point of contact for all Fire Safety and Security Management related activities.
To inform the Associate Director of Estates & Capital of any non-compliance of fire safety requirements along the possible solutions.
To attend and support the Fire Safety Group.
To represent the Trust on fire safety matters with enforcing authorities, architects, design engineers and other outside agencies and to build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To assist Care Group Leads, Matrons and Service Leads to manage fire safety within their services areas.

- Membership of Fire Safety or Security organisation
- Security Managment experience
- Fire Risk Assessment processes
- Experience of developing and delivering training to all levels of staff including sewn
Desirable
- LSMS trained or willingness to train
- Detailed training and knowledge of HTM's (Hospital Fire Safety)
- Use of Auto CAD
- Ability to manage difficult/stressful situations and conversations
- Willingness to participate in Continued Professional Development (CPD)
