Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to work as part of the Facilities Domestic Team at CAMHS North Stoke , Roundwell Place
You will primarily be based at CAMHS North Stoke , Roundwell Place but will be required to be flexible and work in other premises across the Trust as and when required
Role description: As Support Service Domestic Assistant you will be expected to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness. You will be responsible on a day to day basis to provide a full domestic cleaning service to patient areas, offices and departments in accordance with work schedules, policies and procedures.
You will work as part of a team to provide cover for each other during annual leave, sickness and absence.
You must also have:
- Good interpersonal skills with other staff, Trust employees and patients
- Ability to adhere to standards and procedures
- Ability to accept, organise and prioritise instructions
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours and schedules
Full in house and mandatory training will be provided.

To communicate on a daily basis with patients, staff, visitors, general public and report problems to the Facilities Supervisors, Department/Service Lead
To be friendly, courteous and helpful to clients, visitors, staff and the general public, challenging discrimination, promoting equality.
To ensure that patients, their relatives and carers are treated with dignity and respect.
To follow established procedures and schedule of work.
To seek advice from Facilities Supervisors or Department/Service Lead as necessary.
To comply with the requirements of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety Legislation and the Trust Food Safety Policy as necessary.
To be responsible for the cleaning provision to client areas and offices with premise in accordance with work schedules and activity within the area.
To comply with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness, Health and safety legislation and COSHH regulations and the Trust policies as applicable to the job.
To have a responsibility for liaising with, Facilities Supervisors Department/Service Lead to organise work.
To ensure that the general cleaning in the premises is undertaken in accordance with agreed work schedule.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team reporting any problems to the Facilities Supervisors, Department/Service lead.
To use the Trust NHS Logistics online ordering system for domestic/facilities products.
To support induction of new starters, bank and agency staff in on job training.
To keep regular timesheets for own working hours.
To take part in staff surveys as required.
