T & O Therapy Assistant

37.5 hours per week (Includes weekend working, either extra or part of working hours)

Fixed term for 12 months

Salary: £24,937 - £26,598 per annum

Main duties of the job

  • A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a patient focused Assistant Therapist, working with Trauma and Orthopaedic patients.
  • The role entails assisting both the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist in supervising therapy programmes for patients..
  • A car driver is required for this role.
  • To treat and provide quality care to patients as delegated by the responsible therapist within agreed protocols and treatment plans, as documented by the qualified staff.
  • Work unsupervised to implement appropriate treatment plans as designated by a senior therapist. Treatment should be delivered in the most appropriate location for the client, adjusting own clinical interventions based on the patients' fluctuating needs.
  • Carry out assessments and treatments of patients with varying degrees of disability on a daily basis, using moderate physical effort. This may involve moving and handling patients and equipment.
