The post holder will be responsible for their own workload and where identified work for a specific waiting speciality or Consultants waiting list.

The post holder will ensure they identify problems arising during the course of their daily duties, arising from the management of the theatre list and waiting list to the Team Leader.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide an administration and operational services to the Patient Services Department.
  • To manage and maintain the Trust Surgical Waiting Lists and Theatre Lists.
  • To assist and support Team Leader where necessary in the day-to-day management of the department.
  • The post holder will be responsible for their own workload and where identified work for a specific waiting speciality or Consultants waiting list.
  • The post holder will ensure they identify problems arising during the course of their daily duties, arising from the management of the theatre list and waiting list to the Team Leader.
  • The post holder will ensure they prioritise their workload to ensure their work is completed and up to date, in particular when taking annual leave.

  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience
  • Knowledge of patient pathways
  • Experience of autonomous working

  • Experience in working within healthcare setting

Qualification and Professional Training

  • 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (must include Maths and English)Or equivalent
  • Willing to complete learning/training courses appropriate to the development of the role

  • CLAIT, ECDL ,NVQ Business Admin /Customer Services Skills Level 2 or equivalent
