Band 5 Staff Nurse -Immunisation Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, committed nurse with a current registration to join the George Eliot Vaccination team. The role will ensure provision of a comprehensive, efficient and effective immunisation service across the organisation for staff and patients.
You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive, friendly team who ensure that staff feel valued. We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse. This exciting role will give the successful candidate opportunity to cultivate new ways of working in an ever-expanding vaccination program and the platform to develop their skills and knowledge in Immunisations and wellbeing.
The role is suitable for nurses with a recent acute care background and up to date with the education and development needs of immunisation.
Experience of administering vaccines via a Patient Group Directive and current venepuncture skills will be an advantage.

Responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care for a specified group of patients as delegated by senior nursing staff, involving patients and carers where appropriate.
Acts as a team leader, delegating appropriate tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by unqualified staff and learner nurses in the ward team.
Deliver a high standard of nursing care without direct supervision, based upon a sound evidence base.
Undertakes and documents a comprehensive, systematic and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, social and spiritual needs of the patient where appropriate.
Creates and utilizes opportunities to promote health and well-being of patients in their care.
Manage a group of patients throughout a shift as delegated by nurse in charge.
