Main duties of the job

  • Clinical leadership through effective monitoring and implementation of standards and evidence-based practice.
  • Provide direct leadership and management to designated clinical areas and development of ambulatory pathways. Develop systems of working to integrate care, communicating with key stakeholders e.g., General practitioners.
  • Able to make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed clinical standards and targets are met.
  • To manage and coordinate staff and clinical activity within the unit, playing a key role within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Take the lead role for the unit change management activity, developing and maintaining strong communication links with divisional operational management and others ensuring that all staff are effectively and appropriately briefed.
  • Management of junior and new members of staff.
